Lady Gaga releases new single, APPLAUSE

Lady Gaga declared a "pop music emergency" yesterday and released her single APPLAUSE today! Apparently the song leaked and Gaga and her team decided to release the single immediately.

She took to Twitter to announce it:

Applause boasts a heavy EDM backing track over which Gaga sings "I live for the applause" repeatedly for the pre-chorus.

It also sounds like a messed up mix of electronic sounds and repetitive, nonsensical lyrics. Though I do applaud the track for being extremely catchy (haha).

Here's the official audio on Lady Gaga's VEVO account:

You can get Applause and pre-order ARTPOP on iTunes here!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF APPLAUSE AND ARE YOU EXCITED TO HEAR THE REST OF ARTPOP?!?!
